The region is incredibly rich in art and culture. According to local tradition, the great seafaring adventurer of Greek mythology, Odysseus, also visited this region, but the locals called him Ulisses in a somewhat "Italian" way...

HISTORY

The ancient castle of Roseto, Castello di Roseto, stands on the Tangier coast. The castle, located in the picturesque Calabria region, dates back to the 10th century. At that time, it played an important role as a strategic fortress, even during the Norman conquest. 

The castle was built on the ashes of a monastery. In front of the monastery, the land belonged to an ancient pagan temple, once dedicated to the Roman goddess Venus. 

The architecture of the fortress reflects the influence of past eras and rulers through different styles: Norman foundations, Byzantine influence, Renaissance style features all together. Roseto Castle is like a colossal time capsule made of stone, where each stone tells its own story...

Dear Judit, for the second time I enjoyed the comfort and hospitality of your apartment. This time I felt very good too. You can walk along the promenade or just sit in the sun and enjoy the view of the sea and the mountains. Everyone is kind, direct, everyone needs a little Italian feeling of life: a morning coffee, a croissant, a real Dolce Vita. I can only recommend Judit's apartment to everyone, it is very nicely furnished and comfortable. The lemon and orange under the balcony are incredibly delicious. If you can, go and try it in person.
